Bring along a Picnic Blanket
03 19th, 2009
I found this great article that I think blog readers would like to see that pretains to picnic blankets.
In contemporary usage, picnic can be defined simply as a pleasure excursion at which a meal is eaten outdoors (al fresco or en plein air), ideally taking place in a beautiful landscape such as a park, beside a lake or with an interesting view and possibly at a public event such as before an open air theatre performance, and usually in Summer.
Picnics are often family-oriented but can also be an intimate occasion between two people, or a large get-together such as company picnics and church picnics.
On romantic and family picnics a picnic basket and a picnic blanket (to sit or recline on) are usually brought along. Outdoor games or some other form of entertainment are common at large picnics.
Some picnics are a potluck, an entertainment at which each person contributed some dish to a common table for all to share. When the picnic is not also a cookout, the food eaten is rarely hot, instead taking the form of sandwiches, finger food, fresh fruit, salad, cold meats and accompanied by chilled wine or champagne or soft drinks.

Inhale Fresh Air & Enjoy the Scenery
03 16th, 2009The journey to the top of the mountain, where the air is at its freshest and the scenery is at its finest is such an experience. Whether you do the hike for a picnic with your loved one or simply for the fun for it, one deserves a reward for having been able to reach the top. And what better way to celebrate than have a glass of refreshing wine.
But of course, you cannot expect a wine to be available on top of the mountain. Thus, you will have to bring your own bottle of wine prior to the hike. And insulated wine tote will surely be perfect for the job. The tote will guarantee that the wine remains chilled if needs to be served cold.
Packed Lunches are a Wise Choice for Kids & Moms
03 2nd, 2009
With the economy we have at present, people are looking for various ways in order to save even a little from their budget. As for me, one of the most effective ways I have come up with to maximize my weeks allowance is to bring packed lunch in the workplace. By doing so, I am able to cut the cost I usually spent for my lunch at fast food chains or restaurants. I encourage my children to the same. So every morning, I take time to prepare some delicious meals in a lunch cooler which they can bring to school.
Aside from the huge savings, packed lunches may be considered a wise choice for moms, too. While at school, we can never be sure what kind of meals our children choose to eat. But if we were to make them packed lunch, we can be certain that they are eating right.
